Housing Happenings - Mental Health First Aid Overview

Mental Health First Aid for Older Adults addresses the unique mental health challenges that older adults experience and teaches participants how to notice and respond to an older adult who may be living with a mental illness or addiction. The program provides key skills to help an older person who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The first aid is given until appropriate professional treatment is received or until the crisis resolves.
