DEIB Workgroup

LeadingAge Maryland convenes a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Workgroup that serves as a place for members to share, learn, network, and grow with one another along the journey of fostering inclusive communities.

The Goals of our DEIB Workgroup are to:

Foster a safe and brave space for LAMD member organization diversity leaders to share successes, challenges, and updates on their organization’s DEIB journeys.
Support the LAMD Leaders of Color Network.
Provide resources and support to member organizations at all points in their DEIB journeys.
Serve as stakeholders that inform DEIB initiatives, efforts, and strategy for LAMD

Membership

Any individual who works within a provider member organization is invited to be part of the Committee.

Meetings

Monthly meetings are facilitated by co-chairs and alternates between meeting virtually and in-person.

Leaders of Color + Allies Network

The LeadingAge Maryland Leaders of Color + Allies (MDLoC) Network is a professional networking group for senior, mid-level, and emerging leaders of color and allies employed by LeadingAge Maryland provider member organizations.

The network is designed to enhance recruitment, retention and professional growth of people of color in the field of aging services. It is committed to creating a community of connection, mentoring and support, where members exchange resources and ideas, and serve as a sounding board for one another.
