HIPAA often gets a front seat in the discussion around protecting resident data. However, there are many other data protection laws to consider, including here in Maryland. In this seminar, we will review the evolving landscape of key federal, state, and even international laws that protect consumer data and impact how and to what extent organizations can access and use such data in connection with their operations and goals. By the end of this seminar, you should have an understanding of key concepts at issue among various consumer data privacy laws and what to watch for as this area of law continues to grow and evolve.
