Cultivating a Person-Centered Culture in Dementia Care

This presentation captures the critical shift in how dementia care is approached as it provides resources for developing an understanding and appreciation for the journey that each person who has dementia is on. A person-centered culture is one that recognizes and prioritizes the unique needs, preferences and stories of those living with dementia.

Learning objectives

  1. Learn the benefits of the culture change movement and its implications.
  2. How to develop a care plan for people with dementia.
  3. Develop tools to address stigma and trauma.
